Hair Treatment Procedure

Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP)

Platelet Rich Plasma (or PRP) treatment is a regenerative procedure that uses the client's own blood to accelerate hair growth or facial skin rejuvenation (for example to smooth the appearance of acne, scars or wrinkles).

This is known as an autologous procedure where platelets are taken from the client and re-distributed to concentrated areas to stimulate growth and rejuvenation.  Clients see results in the form of fuller hairlines and smoother skin.

Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) therapy involves harnessing the healing power of your own blood to stimulate natural growth and rejuvenation. The process begins with drawing a small amount of blood, which is then processed to concentrate and separate the platelets and growth factors.

Once the PRP is prepared, it is carefully injected into the target area, promoting cell regeneration and tissue repair.

For hair loss, PRP stimulates dormant hair follicles, leading to increased hair thickness and density.

For facials, PRP enhances collagen production, reduces fine lines, improves skin texture, diminishes acne scarring and helps to fade the appearance of pigmentation.

The schedule of treatment-to gain the most benefit would be 3 treatment sessions at least 4 weeks apart. After this, would be a maintenance course of treatment with 1 treatment being performed 6 monthly.

Recovery and Side Effects: The procedure takes about 30 minutes. Some pain or swelling may occur, but it is considered safe with minimal risk.

Results: For hair loss, results may take up to 90 days, with improvement continuing over 6 months.
